While not one of the major global language learning destinations, Russia attracts a significant number of students wanting to learn Russian each year.
The majority of Russian language schools are located in the tourist hubs of Moscow and St Petersburg although our guide below also provides details of schools in such diverse cities as Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl and Minsk in Belarus. Students also have the choice of studying in a small private language school or in a language centre attatched to a large university.
