What are The STM Star Awards?
The industry event in everyone's calendar, the STM Star Awards are unique peer-voted awards in the international education industry. Education organisations vote for their preferred agent partners and vice versa - we reveal the winners of each award category in a glamorous ceremony that features a networking reception, gourmet meal, the presentation with winners being invited on to the stage, followed by dancing. Most of all, the STM Star Awards are fun, and a great way to socialise with industry colleagues and share in this prestigious evening. The STM Star Awards acknowledge the important mutual links between those organisations that offer education and work experience to international students and those organisations sending students overseas for an international study experience.

When is the voting period?
The voting takes place from Monday 11th February
Friday 17th May 2013.

Who can vote?
Any genuine Education Consultant or Education Provider. Each company , regardless of the number of offices,  has a maximum of five votes, to be used by different staff . Each vote must be completed via our online voting system. Each vote will be checked to ensure it originates from a genuine operator within our industry. Educators cannot vote for educators, and consultants cannot vote for consultants. All dubious votes are discounted.

What categories are there?
There are 23 different categories, please find a list on the STM Star Awards home page

Is voting anonymous?
The contents of your vote are not revealed to anyone.

How do I encourage my partners to vote for me?
There is not an application to enter, but you are welcome to  email or ask your partners to vote for you. We supply free 'signatures' for your emails you are welcome to use. Many companies email their partners or ask them to vote for them  or remind them that voting has started, although we do suggest you refrain from asking schools or agencies to vote for you if your partnership has not been active in the last 12 months. NB: Any agencies in which schools have an ownership interest, and vice versa, are ineligible to vote for each other. Votes cannot be “bought” via offering money or incentives. Votes must be made by the voter company itself – ie. you cannot enter a vote for your company, yourself.

How can I vote?
If you are an agent click here, or if you are an education provider please follow this link.

How are nominees picked?
There will be thousands of nominations overall for the various categories. The votes will be counted and verified after 17 May and the final list of nominees will be the five  companies in each category with the most votes. This list will be published in the August issue of Study Travel Magazine.

Is it only advertisers that can win?
No. The company with the most votes in each category wins.

I nominated XXX, but don't see them as a nominee. Why is XXX not included?
They did not receive as many votes as the top five companies in this category
