Cambridge Education Group (CEG) has announced the launch of the University of London International Foundation Programme at its London Foundation Campus. Starting from September, the course will afford guaranteed entry to a range of degrees offered by University of London International Programmes upon successful completion.

The new course was designed by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and aims to ensure that students are prepared for challenging degree-level study. It is the first pre-degree programme offered by the University of London and is particularly relevant to students that haven't taken British A–Levels.

The course will include focus on Mathematics and Statistics, Economics, International Relations and Sociology. As well as progression to University of London International Programmes, the course may qualify students for study at other universities in the UK and elsewhere.

"Our aim has been to design a learning experience which is structured, strongly focussed on the development of academic skills and, above all, fun," said Lynne Roberts, Academic Coordinator for the International Foundation Programmes at LSE. "The courses have been developed with enthusiasm and expertise by our team at the LSE.

"Studying the International Foundation Programme will not only give students the opportunity to go on to further university study, but, more than that, will prepare them to meet future challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Above all, we want to inspire a love of learning and give students potential."

Steve Harvey, Managing Director of FoundationCampus, said, "London FoundationCampus has developed a reputation for delivering high–quality foundation programmes, and the successful results and progression of our students to our University of London partners and other leading UK universities in the last three years demonstrate that quality.

"We are delighted to be adding this prestigious programme and further enhancing our portfolio, offering high-calibre students even greater choice and potential to progress to the UK's top degrees and institutions."
