>The New York development comes three years after ILSC opened its first US campus in San Francisco. “We’re deepening our American roots and expanding our presence eastward to the largest city in the US, with over eight million people,” said the company in a statement.

“ILSC-New York will offer students the chance to learn English through courses and programmes tailored to their unique interests, goals and personal passions, and will offer the same high-quality education that our partners have come to expect from ILSC. In addition to learning English, students will experience all of the exciting life and culture available in this major world centre of finance, the arts, fashion, film and politics – New York is an influential city that has something for everyone,” the statement said.

ILSC also announced David Hughes as Director of the New York school, bringing 20 years of experience as an ESL teacher, school director and teacher trainer, as well as a role in the founding of the Canadian Association for Private Language Schools (CAPLS), the forerunner of Languages Canada. ILSC posted a YouTube video to introduce Hughes and the New York school.

More details regarding the location of the school, programmes to be offered and opening date will be announced in coming months.

Founded over 20 years ago, ILSC is also based in three locations in Canada, two in Australia and one in India.
