The funding will allow Kingswood to invest in enhanced activity equipment, teacher and student accommodation, classrooms, dining areas, luggage storage facilities and social spaces.

Plans already announced for the investment include the introduction of a water sports facility at the Dearne Valley centre in South Yorkshire, and upgraded climbing towers, outdoor problem solving facilities and the development of bushcraft activities at a number of centres.

“The four-year investment will help us to expand the range of activities we offer, and enhance our facilities across all of the centres,” said John Bentley, Chief Executive Officer of parent company Education Travel Group. “It’s vital that the students and teachers who visit any of our centres have a fantastic experience and learn a lot, and spending millions over the next four years to add to our facilities will ensure they do that.”

Kingswood has nine outdoor learning centres across the UK and one in France, and also provides the Camp Beaumont brand of residential summer camps.
