Language in Group has unveiled the upgrade of its Dublin, Ireland, school, following the previous refurbishment of its centre in London, UK, last year.

“These are schools that are designed for modern learning and the high expectations of 21st century customers,” said Language in Group Director, Stuart Rubenstein. “And for that reason, they don’t look like schools!” He said the use of Apple technology, iPads as part of the learning system, designer furniture and bold colour schemes gave the school the feel of a high-tech company or advertising agency.

Fellow Director Kevin Kelly said the reaction from staff and students “was better that I could ever have expected”. He added, “We’re delighted to have made this enormous investment, which will make selling easier for our agents and the experience so much better for our students. It’s all part of our mission and policy for steady growth.”

Rubenstein said the upgrade was nearly completed at the group’s other school in Totnes, UK, and that the UK£20,000 (US$33,246) per classroom investment was the best way to build on growth at the school.

Tim Barker, Sales and Business Director, said, “We are looking at an increase in volume from existing agents and taking on new agents, as that is our experience after the London upgrade. From the first pictures alone, our agents are saying that the effect of what we have done will amaze and inspire their clients.”

The upgrade of the school London school was unveiled at a special invitation event for agents last summer. Language in Group is also featured in an article on school facilities and student expectations in the forthcoming April 2014 issue of Study Travel Magazine.
