“The school is located in a beautiful Georgian building on Merrion Square, only a five-minute walk from the historic Trinity College campus. There is a picturesque park opposite the school with the popular shopping area of Grafton Street only a 10-minute walk away,” said Neil Holohan, Principal of the Dublin school. “The school is surrounded by the best restaurants, cafes and bars Dublin has to offer.”

Frances King Dublin will feature 11 classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards, a self-access study centre, a student services office, a coffee bar and common area with recreational facilities, and wi-fi throughout. The school will offer General English, Cambridge and Ielts Exam Preparation courses, Club 8 Intensive English for Business and Professional People and a family programme. From the summer of 2015, there will also be a teenager programme in Dalkey.

Accommodation will be offered in residences within a short walk or homestays within 30 minutes of the school by public transport.

Explaining the choice of location for the company’s first expansion outside of the UK, Holohan said, “Dublin offers students a unique experience. It is a capital city that is full of life and interesting people. The city is famous for its warm welcome to visitors, relaxed atmosphere and lively social scene.” He added Dublin was becoming more popular as an EFL study destination.

“Frances King has operated successfully in the UK for the last 40 years. We are now spreading our wings to our nearest neighbour, Ireland, and its capital city, Dublin,” said Holohan. “In Dublin, you can expect the same quality courses and accommodation as is the trademark of all Frances King schools.”

Frances King is running an ‘every 4th student free’ promotion at the new school for partner agents.
