Located in a converted seaside hotel, international boarding will be available for boys and girls aged 12 and over. Younger students will be accommodated in double rooms with en suite bathroom facilities, while older students will be housed in single en suite rooms.

The international boarding residence features “common and study rooms with breath-taking views and an environment which guarantees privacy and the well-being of students, just a stone’s throw from the sea and beautiful beach of Armação de Pêra”, said a school statement.

Andreas Schelfhout, current Chairman of the Board at the school, said, “We are very pleased and proud to be able to offer high-quality boarding facilities in a prime location for international students who would like to conclude their secondary education at the International School of the Algarve.”

The International School of the Algarve will also be running English summer language courses in July and August.

Founded in 1972 to cater to the local and international community of the Algarve, the school has a student population of over 600 and joined the Nobel Education Group in 2012.

The Nobel Education Group also consists of international schools in Vietnam, Austria, Turkey, Germany and Oman, each providing a different specialist based on its location. As recently reported, Muse International School will open in Berlin from September as the newest member of the network, providing music and art programmes.
