Located on Goswell Road in EC1, the 805-bed residence will offer fully services accommodation six minutes’ walk from the Barbican underground station and within easy reach of several London institutions and popular districts including Islington, Clerkenwell and Hoxton.

The residence includes en suite rooms, studios, two-bed apartments and penthouse studios, as well as internal and external spaces for students to relax and socialise. Facilities include 24-hour security, 20MB internet and laundry. Rooms are available on 43-week and 51-week contracts for the 2014/15 academic year.

The site was acquired by Pure from City University in 2012 following receipt of planning consent for a scheme by TP Bennett Architects. The development scheme also includes a new 30,000-square feet, Sport England-standard sports complex for City University

The Pure City residence adds to the company’s three existing London residences: Pure Hammersmith, Pure Highbury and Pure Bankside.

With completion of Pure City, the joint venture will have nearly 1,800 operational beds in Central London. The next project at Pure Whitechapel commenced earlier this year and is scheduled to be completed for the start of the 2015/16 academic year.

Pure Student Living was established in April 2010 and is a joint venture between The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager, and Generation Estates, a leading developer and operator of purpose built student accommodation in London.
