Language school association English New Zealand (ENZ) has recently launched a new look website www.englishnewzealand.co.nz with improved functions for agents and students, and has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cambridge English Language Assessment.

The site features easier-to-navigate sections for students, agents and members, with visuals highlighting activities students can experience and key information provided in several languages. Enquiries can be now be made to individual schools or all schools within a particular region.

Kim Renner, Operations Manager at ENZ, said, “Agents can download the school directory and register to become an agent with ENZ schools. The site will be a useful tool when counselling students.”

ENZ has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cambridge English Language Assessments, which will see the two parties working together to allow greater support for English professional development.

Following the MoU, joint initiatives include: raising levels of professional practice in the sector; increasing recognition of the range of Cambridge’s English language assessments; and increasing access to Cambridge English preparation and exams.

Discussions are already underway for Cambridge English to support ENZ’s 2014 professional development agenda, with sessions likely to focus on workplace assessment.

Renner said, “By working with Cambridge English we can combine our strengths to offer enhanced quality, choice and opportunity to English learners and teachers, as well as our training provider members.”
