Navitas was selected as the successful tenderer for an initial one-year contract, with the option of an extension, to provide Elicos courses for CIT at its Northbridge campus.

The Elicos contract builds on an existing business relationship, with Navitas already providing employment pathways, workforce training and development programmes and the Adult Migrant English Programme for CIT.

Navitas Executive General Manager, Careers & Learning Skills, Sally Waite, said the partnership was a “win-win” for the international education sector in Western Australia (WA).

“At present, around 50 per cent of CIT’s Elicos students continue their studies either with CIT or with other state training providers in WA, so we hope that we can bring Navitas’ scale and experience to the partnership and help to grow the international student market here in Perth,” Waite said.

“The more the English language sector for international students grows here, the wider the benefits for all training providers in WA,” she added.

Navitas, headquartered in Perth, provides pre-university and university programmes, English language courses, creative media education and other services worldwide. CIT is the largest training provider in WA with three campuses and 29,000 students, including around 1,000 overseas students.
