27, November, 2014

Global provider ILSC Education Group has announced that its shareholders – Paul Zysman, Chairman, and Paul Schroeder, President and CEO – have formed a strategic partnership with New York-based private strategic investment firm Quad Partners.

“ILSC has been searching for a partner to bring additional resources to ILSC – strategic, advisory and financial in nature – to enable us to bring the ILSC experience to even more international students in both existing and new locations,” said ILSC in a company statement.

The company did not state what level of equity Quad Partners have acquired or the value of the transaction, but confirmed that Zysman and Schroeder remain significant shareholders and continue to lead the management team, strategic direction and operations of ILSC.

“Our new partnership will enhance our ability to develop and grow our schools and deliver our mission. Quad Partners specialises in investing in education and has an impressive history of assisting companies such as ILSC to grow and achieve their strategic objectives.”

Linda Chung, Director of Marketing at ILSC said, “2014 has already been an incredibly busy year that has included campus renovations at our Brisbane location, a significant campus expansion in Sydney, which doubles the number of our classrooms, and, of course, the opening of our New York City campus this past summer, which has gotten off to a very successful start.”

Chung added that ILSC’s college programmes have also significantly expanded, with a doubling of offerings at the Australia ILSC Business College and the launch of Academic and Co-op programmes in Business and Tourism and Hospitality Management at Greystone College’s Canadian locations.

Looking ahead at future growth plans, Chung said, “In our language schools, our university pathway programme has been an important focus area for us on an ongoing basis. We’ve added many new college, TAFE and university partners this year, and will continue to focus on expanding our partnerships and strengthening this programme in 2015. We’ve also putting new focus on expanding our junior offerings, and expect to see growth in that market in the future."

Schroeder said, "Our strategic partnership with Quad Partners provides us with added support and resources that will allow us to continue expanding our programme offerings to meet the demands of the market and to open up new ILSC locations. We think our recruitment partners and international students will be excited by the new opportunities ILSC will be offering in the years ahead.”

ILSC Education Group has language schools in Canada, USA, Australia and India, as well as vocational colleges in Australia and Canada.
