Global provider EF Education First has partnered with UK Premier League football club Chelsea FC to host language football camps for 14-to-17 year olds.

The EF Chelsea FC Football Camps will be conducted by qualified Chelsea FC Foundation coaches and take place at the club’s state-of-the-art training grounds in Cobham, Surrey.

Johan Skaar, President of Language Travel at EF Education First, said, “We believe that language learning is even more effective when combined with something you are passionate about. At our new camps in association with Chelsea FC Foundation, young athletes can combine their love of football with absorbing essential English skills, both on and off the pitch. That is a ticket to success.”

Available for boys and girls, the camps will feature two and a half hours of football practice per day, as well as EF English lessons on game rules, nutrition and physiology. Students will be accommodated with host families. The first EF Chelsea Foundation Football Camp commences in June and lasts for two weeks.

Shaun Gore at Chelsea FC Foundation said, “We are proud to work with EF to offer youth across the globe this fantastic opportunity to learn English through the world’s favourite sport.”

EF was established in 1965 and has a network of 500 schools and offices worldwide, specialising in language training, educational travel, academic degrees and exchange programmes. Chelsea FC was the winner of 2012 Uefa Champions League and current players include Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Dider Drogba.
