The three-year partnership will see Manchester City, the current Premier League champions, host two-week football and English language courses, delivered by Experience English and City Football Schools.

The courses are designed for children aged nine-to-17 to offer a unique opportunity to experience the club through the eyes of a new player alongside a bespoke language programme. The courses will take place at the club’s youth development facility, where Manchester City’s men’s and women’s first teams and entire academy train on a daily basis.

Gavin Rhodes, Head of City Football Schools, said, “Manchester City’s new home at the City Football Academy is the ideal place for young people to learn through a quality football and education programme.”

He added, “Experience English is a highly respected organisation and we are working very closely in order to produce the best quality programme for young people from all over the world.”

Roger Kerr, Sales and Marketing Manager at Experience English, said, “The English tuition will be specially tailored to the language of football, boosting students’ engagement with the materials and ensuring that the two components of the programme are mutually reinforcing.

“We are delighted to be working so closely with Manchester City and we are confident that this will be a truly inspirational programme.”

A new dedicated website has been launched to provide more details about the new programme.

Experience English operates four year-round language schools in the UK: Edinburgh Language Centre; Hampstead School of English; Manchester Academy of English; and English Language Centre York.
