IELS Malta has acquired language school Magister Academy in St Julian’s, which has adopted a new concept as an adult residential school.

IELS Malta has acquired Magister Academy

Magister Academy, established over 20 years ago, was one of the founding schools of Malta’s EFL industry, said IELS Malta in a statement.

“The property has been refurbished to include bright, modern and spacious accommodation for 18+ adult students, offering free wifi throughout the whole building and a communal kitchen for its residents. All rooms are fully air conditioned and comfortably finished, with private bathroom facilities. Students can opt for single, twin or triple shared accommodation,” said IELS.

Alex Lanczet, General Manager of IELS and Magister Academy, said, “Our school is the perfect choice for students who wish to learn English in a centrally located boutique school, combining classes and accommodation under one roof.

“Magister Academy will continue to operate under its existing brand name and will focus on providing affordable English language courses, comfortable accommodation and exciting social programmes for adult students all year round. With new management on board, we can guarantee high-quality service and excellent value for money,” he said.

IELS, established in 1985, also unveiled a major refurbishment of its school and accommodation last year. The school is accredited by Malta’s EFL Monitoring Board, Maltese language school association Feltom, and is a member of the Association of language Travel Organisations (ALTO) and the LAL Language Centres Group.
