Nestpick, a platform for renting and letting mid-term accommodation, is targeting international students with expansion into the UK, France, Italy and Spain.

Initially launched in the Netherlands in May last year, the Nestpick platform handles communication from both tenants and landlords. Tenants send deposits directly to Nestpick, who transfer to the landlord when the tenant has moved in and confirmed satisfaction with the property. According to the company, in the first few months of operation rooms were filled within 2.5 days on average.

Fabian Dudek, Founder of the company, said, “Nestpick is not only a service but a solution to a problem we encountered first-hand. During our studies, we spotted the increasing demand of our generation to have an easy way to find the perfect nest, ready to move in from wherever they are. This generation is driven by global opportunities – why not make their lives easier if we can?”

He added that the service was particularly useful to international students who often have limited access to the private rental market, and the new country locations were chosen for their high volumes of international student inflow.

Within a week of launching in the UK, 500 properties had been added to the London listing and verified by Nestpick, the company said.
