The London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) has unveiled a new campus in London’s financial district, officially opened by Prince Michael of Kent in a special ceremony last week.

The new LSBF campus, located at Sceptre Court in Tower Hill opposite the Tower of London, will accommodate around 3,000 students on a range of courses including MBAs and master’s programmes in business and finance. Facilities within the building include a fully functional trading floor to be operated by LSBF’s partner the London Academy of Trading, as well as classrooms and offices.

In his opening speech, HRH Prince Michael of Kent said, “We in Britain are part of a globalised economy where business success is often dependent on integrating with other international markets. That is why it is so important that we equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills to meet both local and international business challenges.”

“London’s reputation as an international business hub makes it a great classroom for business students,” said Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Rector and CEO of LSBF. “As well as expanding our operations in the capital, we’re also aiming to further support city employers with highly skilled talent.

“It has always been our goal to provide our students not just with the academic knowledge, but also with a range of work-integrated learning opportunities. Students and young professionals aiming to get access to top employers and career progression opportunities could not be in a better location.”

As part of LSBF’s scholarship programme, 10 high-performing local students from the Tower Hamlets area will be given funding for a course at the school. LSBF secured planning permission last year for a change at the 90,000-square-feet Sceptre Court, which had been vacant office space for over a year.
