French language school IS Aix-en-Provence has moved to a new centre, offering a range of French language, culture and professional courses for adult international students in a specially adapted building.

The new IS Aix-en-Provence school

The new school, in a building once inhabited by Pablo Picasso, is on Avenue des Ecoles Militaires, near the centre of the town renowned as the birthplace of Paul Cezanne and a short walk from the previous centre.

Students will have access to 16 air-conditioned classrooms across three floors, a multimedia resource centre, two sunny terrace areas and the school’s own garden. The premises have been adapted to be more accommodating for students with reduced mobility than the previous centre.

IS Aix-en-Provence’s new centre was officially opened last week in a special ceremony attended by board members, staff, students, agent partners, local politicians and representatives from French language school association Groupement Fle, of which the school is a member.

IS Aix-en-Provence was established in 1972 and is also a member of international groups Eaquals and Ialc.
