03 June, 2015

Oxford House College (OHC), the ELT division of the Holmes Education Group, will now operate in 15 locations in four countries worldwide, after bringing the group’s recent North America acquisitions – the Sol Group of Schools and International House New York and Boston – under the OHC brand.

The Oxford House College brand will now operate at 15 locations in four countries

The existing OHC schools in the UK (London, Richmond, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon) will be joined by USA centres in New York, Boston and Miami, and Canadian schools in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.

The group’s Australia-based ELT schools – Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Cairns – will also operate under the OHC brand.

In a separate development, the Holmes Education Group has also acquired Teaching House, a US-based provider of the Cambridge Celta and Delta certificate courses for English language teachers. In a statement, Oxford House College said the purchase acted “as part of its guarantee to students of expertise and quality in the ELT classroom across all of its 15 international centres”.

Oxford House College has been operating language courses in the UK since 1974. Headquartered in Australia and established in 1963, the Holmes Education Group also provides vocational, higher education and secondary programmes.
