Caps-I unveils trade mission dates

10 June, 2015

The Canadian Association of Public Schools – International (Caps-I) has released details of trade missions to China, Italy and Germany to meet study travel agents, schools and embassy officials.

The Caps-I trade mission to China will be held from 11-19 October in Hangzhou, Beijing and Chongqing, dovetailing with the ICEF Beijing conference. The mission will include seminars and networking with agencies, schools and government representatives, school tours, a session on working with Chinese agents, and a student fair in Chongqing.

Next year a mission to the Italian city of Milan will take place from February 16-18, organised in cooperation with StudentMarketing, bringing together 20 Caps-I members with pre-selected Italian agencies. The mission will feature one-to-one agent meetings, networking opportunities with agencies and presentations by Canadian Embassy staff. The Italian Association of Language Consultants and Agents (IALCA) will provide market insights at the event.

A mission to Hamburg, Germany, from May 29-30 will follow a similar format to the Milan event, and will gather agencies from Germany, the Benelux countries and Scandinavia.

The announcement of the Caps-I agent missions follow the association’s recent Annual Conference, held in Fredericton, New Brunswick, which included a welcome reception held at Government House, where His Excellency, the Right Honourable David Johnston Governor General of Canada addressed the delegation.
