Upon completion of the University Transfer Program at Oncampus Cal State Monterey Bay, successful students will progress into the second (sophomore) year of a degree course at CSUMB, where there are 23 majors offered, ranging from Business Administration and Psychology to Marine Sciences and Cinematic Arts & Technology.

CSUMB is part of the California State University system of 23 campuses and is located on the Monterey peninsula. In a statement, CEG said, “With more than 5.2km2, the campus has everything you’d expect from a great university: state-of-the-art facilities, new dorms and academic buildings, dining halls to accommodate all lifestyles, comprehensive athletic facilities and a buzzing student centre.”

“Oncampus Cal State Monterey Bay is a very exciting venture,” said Tim Angle, Head of the College of Extended Education and International Programs at CSUMB.

“Our university is committed to fostering a diverse and globalised learning community and to creating opportunities for traditionally underserved populations. Providing a new pathway for English learners to earn an accredited degree is completely in line with these deeply felt institutional values, and we couldn’t be prouder to kick off this fantastic programme.”

Fergus Brownlee, Chief Executive of CEG, said, “We are very pleased to be partnering with CSUMB and this relationship shows our continued commitment to working with highly respected universities in attractive study destinations.

“Oncampus Cal State Monterey Bay will provide international students with the ideal opportunity to experience life at an American university and gain a deeper understanding of the US and its education system. Our university transfer programme has been specifically designed to support student success – academically, socially and professionally – and prepares students to complete their degree at CSUMB, one of the most innovative universities in California.”

The CSUMB agreement is the latest in the expansion of the Oncampus brand in 2015, adding to previously announced ventures with the University of North Texas in the US, UK-based University of Hull and Lund University in Sweden.
