Available as applications on both iOS and Android operating systems, the Qualified Education Agents (QEA) app displays agencies that have completed training programmes by PIER, ICEF and the British Council in order of proximity to the user.

In a joint statement, PIER and ICEF said institution marketing professionals can use the app to navigate to an agency office or got a clear representation of the coverage of their agency network in a particular region, while students can utilise the app to find agents close to their location and designate which country’s qualification is preferred.

Chris Evason, Managing Director of PIER, said, “Our aim is to provide a value-added service to those professional agencies and individuals who have invested the time to properly train in education recruitment. We think that both students and institutions want instant mobile access to information about quality agent services.”

Markus Badde, CEO of ICEF, added, “This is a ground-breaking app that should be on every education professional’s phone. If you work for an institution, why not have the location and contact of every reputable agent at your fingertips?”

Agent training programmes were the subject of the cover story in the August 2015 issue of StudyTravel Magazine.
