New affiliate schools for IHWO

03 November, 2015

International House World Organisation (IHWO) has welcomed four new affiliate schools to its network of centres, bringing total worldwide membership to 158.

The four new schools bring Italian representation within the International House World Organisation network to 16

IH Jesi, IH Recanti and IH Ancona together form The Victoria Company group. All are members of Italian language school association AISLi, exam centres for Cambridge Esol and Trinity College London and are authorised Ielts preparation centres. Original school, IH Jesi, was founded in 1997 with Recanti opening in 2012 and Ancona, the latest addition to the Victoria family, joining earlier this year.

Founder and current director of IH Jesi, Giuseppe Romagnoli, said joining IH was the logical next step for the organisation. “I am delighted to announce that we have joined International House World Organisation. This has been a long ambition of mine, and vindicates all the hard work, energy and passion that have been collectively put into our organisation by our staff over the years.”

British School IH Reggio Calabria, which has a strong focus on English language instruction, has also joined the IH network. Founded in 1964, the International School (as it was formerly called) is one of the largest Cambridge authorised centres in the south of Italy and is also a member of AISLi.

Speaking about the affiliation, School Director, Patrizia Quattrone, said, “We have always found it useful to learn from, and share ideas with, other schools in different contexts. Having reaped the benefits of doing this for several years on a national level as a member of AISLi, we decided to join an international network of schools to further develop our school and its staff. We strongly believe IH will help us to continue to learn and grow and we are really looking forward to being a member of this leading association.”

IHWO was formed in 2003 to manage and support the global network of schools. Today it represents 158 affiliated private language schools in 52 countries. IH Jesi, IH Recanti, IH Ancona and IH Reggio Calabria bring Italian school representation within the network to 16.
