Q. How is the work experience business developing at Twin (are you launching any new programmes, for example)?
Our main programmes continue to be professional internships and hotel and catering placements (Twin’s Anglo Training Programme). We have recently expanded our regional offerings by launching WorkLondon (paid opportunities in the capital) and WorkIreland (unpaid internships in Dublin.) Last year, we also introduced TeachUK, offering placements as teaching assistants and language assistants at schools throughout the UK.
Q Which nationalities are most likely to enrol on your internship courses?
Our main European markets are France and Spain. We also have a large number of non-Europeans enrolling on our Professional English Programme sandwich course, especially from Korea, Thailand and various South American markets.
Q How do you promote your courses internationally?
We attend international trade fairs and conferences and Twin’s sales team are very proactive in travelling abroad to meet our international agents and visiting the embassies.
Q Why did you decide to enter the work experience sector?
Twin has been involved in work experience and employment skills from its very earliest days, initially for UK residents, and then expanding to both EU and non-EU nationals. Our commitment to this area of learning is based on strong client demand for programmes that invest in their professional future and are not tied to the classroom.
