Q. How is the work experience business developing at CLIC?
We are continuing to develop our conventional work experience programme, which consists of a two-to-four-week Spanish course and a two-to-three-month internship in one of the companies that are part of our network.
Q Which nationalities are most likely to enrol on your internship courses?
Our main student markets are European countries and in particular Germany. The main objectives of students who want to apply for work experience is to be able to develop an additional language skill, keep in touch with their area of expertise and get an insight into a different working methodology which can sometimes be successfully implemented once they are back in their country of origin.
Q How do you promote your courses internationally?
Using the same materials, formats and activities as for our other courses as well as the usual workshops and encounters with agencies around the world.
Q Why did you decide to enter the work experience sector?
We had some demand from both agency partners and companies in Seville and Cadiz that wished to welcome foreign interns. Companies, in our experience, are keen to welcome young foreigners who can somehow contribute to the internationalisation of their company and bring new perspectives and methods for consideration.

“I’ve learnt so much about all areas of the industry back of house, front of house, management. This diversity gives me many different opportunities. In Brazil, hospitality is such a great career. If you have good English and experience outside of Brazil you can get a good job and be successful and they pay you quite well. It’s good because I can pay my own rent and other expenses. I have lots of fun at work with my colleagues I really enjoy it. I used to be shy but now I’m much more assertive and confident.”
