When and why was World Endeavors set up?

World Endeavors was founded in 2002 to provide individuals with the opportunity to change their world through participation in unique and affordable volunteer, internship and study abroad programmes. We offer more than 50 programmes in 20 countries.

What type of client is the most typical at your agency?

Many of our participants are university students, recent graduates or young professionals. From business internships to social welfare, environmental and wildlife volunteer projects, our programmes appeal to individuals with a desire to do something meaningful abroad.

Which destinations and programmes are most popular and why do you think this is?

Historically, our Latin American volunteer programmes in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Brazil have been very popular. We are also seeing a rise in the popularity of our volunteer programmes in Asia and Africa which include Thailand, the Philippines, India, Nepal and Ghana.

How do you see business developing?

According to the Travel Industry Association of America, more than 55 million Americans have travelled to other countries on vacations that included volunteering. Worldwide, there is a growing interest in international volunteering. Due to the unique nature and affordability of our programmes, we feel positioned for significant growth in the future.
