"Just a few more weeks until the two-day Ialca AGM. In the beautiful and historical city of Padova, only a few kilometres from Venice, the agent members of Ialca, the Italian Association of Language Consultants and Agents, will meet, talk, and plan the actions for the next coming 12 months.

Among the aims and purposes of Ialca, founded in 1997, our goals are to improve the quality of the services offered to the Italian students, to provide reliable information about the schools and courses and to promote the image and the importance of language and education consultants to the Italian government.

Two new members will participate this year; Centro Soggiorni Studio from Sassari and Sunflower Exchange from Como, raising to 15 the total number of the Ialca agencies, located all over Italy, from very close to the border with Switzerland all the way down to Sicily.

On 14 November, Ialca members will also meet schools from English in the North for a short but intense one-day workshop. This follows a successful 2008 fam trip in New Zealand, sponsored by Education New Zealand, that eight Italian agents and journalists visiting the whole country and many schools during a 10-day trip.”
