Australia, at the forefront of international education marketing as usual, has compiled an online directory of tertiary courses delivered by Australian providers overseas. AusList will only list education and training options that are delivered to a comparable standard to Australian education and the list will allow foreign students to consider programmes closer to home – in Asia, for example – if they are unable to study in Australia itself. Meanwhile, Master’s programmes for foreign students in Finland will no longer be free after next year. A new law in the country allows universities to charge fees from the end of 2009.
