When we compare results from previous issues, there has been a steady decline in the number of Western Europeans booking language courses in Spain. A whopping 80 per cent hailed from this world region in 2006, which dipped to 73 per cent in 2007, 65 per cent in 2008 and 59 per cent in 2009. Instead, Spain appears to be attracting a greater number of North American students. Meanwhile, the number of students booking a language course via an educational advisor appears to be on the increase, up five percentage points to 34 per cent in 2009. Read more in our August issue.
