This week, Rory Curley, from Galway Cultural Institute in Ireland, writes about the upcoming Ialc workshop that will be held in Galway:

“April 29 to May 2 is going to be a very special time at Galway Cultural Institute (GCI), and not just because it is the official start of summer. GCI is delighted and honoured to have been chosen as the host school for the Ialc Workshop 2010. GCI won the bid at the 2008 workshop and so preparations have been going on for almost two years now. We have a lot to live up to, as previous Ialc workshops have been a resounding success, but we are confident that all who attend will find the experience both enjoyable and productive.

The raison d’etre of Ialc is to support quality independent schools from all over the globe, teaching all languages. The objective of the workshop itself is to raise the profile of a certain destination while bringing together all members of the Ialc family to demonstrate why the association has won the LTM Star Award for School Association for the last three out of four years. Agents know what Ialc means to them and their clients – guaranteed quality of facility, education and service.

Ialc Galway 2010 is the biggest international EFL conference ever held in Ireland. In 2010, Ireland is going to be put back on the educational map for the right reasons – as a destination that can provide students with a truly unforgettable language and leisure experience. So pre-register today at www.ialc.org and experience what being part of the Ialc family feels like.”
